Washing Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Washing Manager to oversee the washing operations for our denim/jeans product line. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of fabric treatments, wash processes, and techniques specific to denim. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to maintain quality standards while optimizing production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash Process Management:

• Oversee the entire washing process for denim/jeans products, including enzyme wash, stonewash, acid wash, and other specialized techniques.

• Develop and implement washing recipes to achieve desired effects and finishes.

• Monitor wash processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with specifications.

Quality Control:

• Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer requirements.

• Identify and address issues related to fabric shrinkage, color fading, or damage during washing.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and manage the washing department team, including operators and technicians.

• Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance and knowledge.

Equipment and Maintenance:

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of washing machines, dryers, and other equipment.

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is functioning optimally.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously analyze and improve washing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.

• Research and implement new washing techniques and technologies.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the production, design, and quality assurance teams to align washing processes with product goals.

• Coordinate with chemical suppliers to source and test new products.

Compliance and Sustainability:

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards.

• Implement eco-friendly washing techniques and practices.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of wash recipes, production schedules, and output quality.

• Prepare regular reports on washing performance and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in washing management for denim/jeans products.

• Strong knowledge of denim fabrics, washes, and finishing processes.

• Familiarity with washing equipment and chemicals used in denim treatment.

• Good English communication skills (written and verbal).

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
