Business Function
Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Job purpose
* To assist COO and Unit Heads in implementing DBS Group policies, process, implementation and management, ensuring sound of governance and control, as well as compliance with local regulatory requirements.
* To provide business management support to Unit heads
Key Accountabilities
* Supporting business performance of the branch
* Ensure safe and sound of data, risk, governance and control in place
* Oversight of risk indicators, risk event, escalation and reporting of incidents, BCP and management of risk
Responsibilities
* Provide business management support to institutional banking group including managing, maintenance and implementation of policies, guides and procedures (including facilitating management meeting)
* Provide strategic supports to business on ensure customer experiences, digital enablement, marketing and events
* Support unit heads on planning and implementation of strategy
* Support IBG on unit’s business policy, process and management (including development, of local specific requirement to meet local regulations, planning and execution)
* Oversight of risk governance, control within IBG unit and further at branch level
* Ensure timely implementation of corporate operational risk policies, standards and guides within unit. Ensure proper approvals are obtained for deviations from corporate operational risk policies and standards
* Develop and ensure implementation of unit-specific operational risk guides, where relevant and procedures
* Promote risk & control awareness, including ensuring operational risk trainings are conducted and training plans are established and complied with
* Share operational risk best practices within the unit
* Ensure timely completion of the unit’s Risk Control Self-Assessment (“RCSA”) programme and provide guidance on the identification/assessment of risks and controls. Ensure that issues and action plans arising from the RCSA are tracked to completion on time
* Timely reporting/escalating of risk events/significant incidents
* Review and validate risk events reported for factual accuracy, proper categorization of event, cause, effect, and ensure that proper action plans are established to correct and prevent event from recurring
* Collate, analyse, monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (“KRI”) for the unit, ensuring that proper action plans are established to address issues, and tracked to completion on time.
* Ensure timely implementation of the Business continuity policies and standards and business continuity readiness of the responsible unit
* Co-ordinate audit and regulatory inspections, when required
* Be able to take on project and tasks assigned by the COO and CEO.

* Minimum of 8 years of experiences in banking industry
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Familiar with banking operations and banking products

* Time management and project management
* Handling of Multi-tasks under pressures
* Good mindset on risk, governance and control
* Sufficient knowledge and experience of client onboarding, credit processing (e.g. relationship manager experiences)
* Having business experiences and business mindset
* Ability to lead a unit level team (or teams) to implement
* Excellent basic computer skills (proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint is the must)
