And as the Vendor Quality Specialist (Case Goods), you’ll report to the Vendor Quality Lead (Case Goods) to strictly adhere to the determined quality process and improve the product quality performance.
Why We Need You:
Within the Vendor Quality Team, our Vendor Quality Specialist (Case Goods) will be conducting quality audits for vendors, developing quality standards, training stakeholders on quality requirements, working on corrective actions, and providing support for escalated issues within the case goods category. This fits into our larger need to look for new ways to delight customers with high-quality products and improve the overall users’ experience.

While, we sell to the North American market, we work closely with a number of our manufacturing partners throughout Asia. As a result we have an office in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where we currently have around 50 Particles (people of Article) working.

You’ll do all this while growing your skills within a company that is redefining the furniture industry.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be part of a team of 2 Vendor Quality Specialists working to the determined quality process and improve the Case Goods product quality performance.
- Conduct factory quality audits (FQA) to evaluate quality management systems and the production capabilities of vendors.
- Conduct Pre-shipment and Inline inspection for products and products identified with high quality focus. Provide analysis on quality issues and testing failures to identify and implement preventative measures including but not limited to assessing testing standard requirements.
- Supporting Quality Claim Analyst to have technical/quality dialogue with vendors for pending / unresolved claims. Based on product issues or vendor trends, work on projects with relevant stakeholders to continuously improve the product quality (reduce defect rate) through effective implementation of Corrective Action and Preventive Action.
- Participating in establishing internal quality processes, templates, and inspection quality standards.
- Administrate the quality records, including the validation and uploading of PSI report, Inline inspection report, FQA report, CAPA reports, etc..
- Develop training materials for in-person, and online training, and update documentation when quality standards or requirements change. Train vendors and internal stakeholders on quality requirements and framework.
- Visit vendors as required to review samples, assess production capabilities and quality systems.
- Monitor the quality performance on a monthly basis and evaluate quality processes in the field, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Job requirements
Who You Are:
- 5+ years’ experience in the furniture industry with solid experience in Case Goods products
- Excellent written and verbal English Skills
- Willing to travel to adjacent countries as required
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with training, communication and presentation conducted to vendors
- Able to transfer knowledge and train others on technical skills
- Experience auditing and qualifying vendors
- High discipline in maintaining QA documentation
