Underwriting Executive

1. Collect appropriate and accurate information required to assess potential clients and decide on the acceptable risk for a policy.

2. Review policy applications/quotations based on the previous loss records, age, medical report and other underwriting factors.

3. Prepare reports that detail risk assessment that contribute to the final decision.

4. Evaluate policies with regards to the company’s underwriting guideline/standard.

5. Make a decision to accept, modify or reject an insurance application after scrutiny of all the required documents and studies regarding the risk involved.

6. Analyze statistical data and handle the assigned reports within deadlines.

7. Write quotes, determine premiums and coverage, and negotiate terms with brokers and clients.

8. Select the wording of policies, and prepare the terms and conditions.

9. Conduct internal and external training.

Certificate/Working Experience

- University graduation: major in Insurance/Finance/Economic

- Working experience: Having relevant working experience in non-life insurance will be preferred.

Skill/Knowledge

- Good command of both English writing and speaking

- Knowledge about insurance, especially ppersonal, Motor and Affinity Insurance (preferable)

- Hand-on Microsoft Applications i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point

- Ability to work independently and as part of team

- Customer focus and good sense of urgency

- Characteristic: proactive & hardworking, detailed oriented & result driven
