Job description
• Identify and establish new business opportunities by understanding customers’ needs and recommending appropriate technical solutions.
• Understand and articulate the technical aspects of the company's products and services.
• Demonstrate product functionality and advantages to both the existing and prospective customers through presentations, demonstrations, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical advice, support and trainings to distributors and customers.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and distributors, understand their needs and ensure mutual success. Provide them with updates on products, services, and company initiatives, when appropriate.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets by collaborating with distributors to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Assist in the creation of proposals, technical documents, and bids.
• Assist in the management of project timelines, deliverables, and customers’ expectations. Update the project list on a weekly basis.
• Negotiate commercial terms that meet the needs of both customers and the company.
• Collaborate with the Application Technology team to address any technical issues and improve product offerings and/or product performance.
• Attend industry events and trade shows to network with potential customers and partners.
• Stay updated on the latest product developments, industry trends and competitor offerings to provide accurate and relevant information to distributors.
• Provide feedback and insights to the product development team based on market needs and customers’ feedback.
• Submit monthly reports, expenses report and customer visit reports on time.
• Execute any other tasks as assigned by the immediate superior / HOD.
Job requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the SMT, semiconductor, or electronics industry is preferred.
• Proven experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role.
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with relevant software and tools, including CRM systems and presentation software.
• Willing to travel as needed for customers meetings, trials, and industry events.
• Proficient in both oral and written English. The ability to speak Korean or Mandarin would be an added advantage.
