Supply Acquisition Associate (For International Furniture E-Commerce Platform)
Job description
We are seeking a problem-solving, entrepreneurial individual to manage the supplier acquisition and business partnership development for our Asia-based Supplier program. In this role, you’ll work with external partners, our suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams to set up and onboard suppliers onto an International Furniture E-commerce Platform.
What You'll Do
- Execute the steps necessary to setup business development conversations with suppliers on an international furniture E-commerce platform.
- Work familiar with face-to-face conversation, be good at supplier-visiting and convincing.
- Communicating with suppliers (email, phone) as needed throughout setup process
- Managing relationships with our external partners who provide supplier leads and resources for suppliers.
- Problem solves challenges or trends as they arise.
- Report on progress of the Acquisition team, including successes and learnings.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive a better supplier experience.
- Influence the strategy and planning for the Asia-based Supplier Acquisition team.
Job requirements
What You'll Need
- 2-5 years out of undergrad with relevant work or internship experience (strong preference for experience within an e-commerce organization, Furniture/ Wood).
- Fluency in English both written and verbal, and Chinese will be a plus.
- Ability to communicate and feel comfortable speaking directly with owners and executives of large companies.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- A highly curious self-starter capable of achieving goals in an unstructured environment. Hustle is vital.
- Collaborative by nature; ability to build relationships and buy-in to drive change effectively in a positive manner.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Analytical thinker who looks for and finds answers in the data.
- Ability to “hit the ground running” – a self-starter capable of achieving specific targets.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset.
- Familiarity with MS Excel, Powerpoint.
