Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Reports To: SQ lead/Quality manager

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This person is based at our Vietnam factory and is responsible for Supplier quality engineering from NPI to manufacturing. This role will primarily focus on supplier qualification, supplier quality control, solving part quality issue, manage incoming inspection, handle part issues in factory.

Essential functions and key responsibilities are:

● Carries out supplier quality activities of supplied products and supplier quality issues in the plant within the order fulfillment process.

● Support advanced quality planning with suppliers during product development process, with specific consideration for cost efficiency and productivity.

● In series production, execute supplier evaluation, manage supplier process changes and initiate and coordinate corrective actions, to sustainably ensure quality agreed.

● Drive the sampling inspection process and decide acceptance or rejection of samples provided.

● Coordinate series production claim management of part and act as escalation instance to agree on remedial action plan until successful completion.

● Train suppliers to ensure adherence to APQP and PPAP requirements as agreed

● Conduct production quality inspection and improvement activities for Sub-line (CNC/Over molding/Printing).

● Build part inspection standard and measuring/inspection instruction

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Experience

● Experience working with oversea supplier, SQE onside

● At least 5 years of supplier quality engineering experience or quality assurance

● Joint company/supplier product development experience

● Demonstrated sense of urgency; takes prompt action to accomplish goals.

● Demonstrated high level of curiosity, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills to improve supplier quality

● Open minded and willing to learn new knowledge in different scopes

● English communication is a must.

● Can communicate effectively to all levels of the organization

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

● Graduated in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering
