Objectives of the role:
To create opportunities at the early stages of the design process to enable Fosroc products to be specified. To generate leads from consultant engineers, architects and government bodies and secure maximum product specification in line with the Company’ sales plan. To continually create and maintain high market awareness of our company’s range of products be getting it specified in new project tenders.
To provide specification support to the sales department for on-going projects when required.
To be the ‘Sales SharePoint Super User’ for gathering product knowledge for the Sales Team Member.
To be the ‘Single Point of Contact’ for Sales Training Library – gathering and summarizing training materials attended, or required by the sales team - prepare proposal and follow up with the Sales Team.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Setup appropriate database of consultants, owners, government department, contractors in related with Fosroc business area.
• To call on Consultant Engineers, Architects, Government Departments and Client bodies and promote Fosroc products for specification (spec selling).
• Where competitor's products have been specified make counter proposals with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Write specification documents and technical proposals for customers.
• To produce and deliver technical presentations.
• To produce and deliver product training presentations to Fosroc staff or clients.
• Compilation and management of reports and forecasts as required. Including project pipelines and follow up Sales Plans. Report the specification tender documents which Fosroc involved/participate to GSM. Annual Spec documents target for the 1st year is 20 documents.
• Cooperate with sales team to ensure that the specification can be converted into sales in the projects.
• Awareness of competitors activities and identify relevant threats and opportunities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by General Sales Manager.
• Coordinate training (product and application) for sales team and customer.
• Prepare proposal for Fosroc participation in national exhibitions, seminars, workshop, marketing campaign and prepare reports of the participated events.
• Work with Marketing Manager on compiling market data sources/market info.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Personal attributes:
- 5 years work experience in construction industry, preferably with consultants, architects or designers
- Understanding of construction tendering process and roles of various stakeholders
- Technical understanding of construction materials
- Goal and result orientated
- Previous technical sales or technical specification sales experience
Educational Requirements:
Civil / Technical engineering degree level qualification
