Sourcing PD Specialist - Furniture - Chinese Speaking

Description The successful candidate will take responsibilities for: * Develop and oversee new furniture programs. * Research and qualify potential suppliers aligned with company sourcing strategies and guidelines. * Conduct initial supplier evaluations, including management, capacity, quality systems, financial stability, and operational effectiveness. * Provide documented recommendations on prospective suppliers. * Negotiate preliminary pricing and terms with potential suppliers. * Collaborate with approved suppliers to finalize product specifications, manufacturing requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines. * Coordinate sample approvals with the head office before production. * Assess supplier performance after initial production and identify improvement areas with sourcing, product development, and quality control teams. Profile The ideal candidate profile should have: * 5 years+ of experience in furniture product development within a trading/retailer company. * Expertise in purchasing, supply chain management, supplier quality systems, and performance evaluation. * Fluent in Chinese with proficient English speaking and writing skills. * Proficient in PC tools, including internet communication, Excel, and Word. * Willing to travel as needed.
