Senior Technical Specialist, Footwear (Ho Chi Minh)

• Establish quality standards for footwear construction and manufacturing in partnership with various teams.

• Support the ALO Quality Management in enforcing quality standards from development to bulk inspection.

• Contribute to the sourcing and qualification of factories to meet Arc'teryx brand standards.

• Provide technical expertise on footwear construction methods to internal and external partners.

• Review development samples and collaborate with design and development teams for sign-off.

• Conduct technical quality reviews and support product integrity teams.

• Oversee high-risk models and run risk assessments from development to bulk production.

• Prepare and conduct seasonal handover meetings to align with quality and vendor teams.

• Maintain regular communication with teams in Asia and vendors to ensure protocol adherence.

• Create and update quality manuals and protocols for critical operations.

• Assist in quality inspections at various production stages as needed.

• Monitor and train vendor quality teams on standards and inspection methods.

• Collaborate on new vendor onboarding programs.

• 10+ years of manufacturing experience in footwear industry

• Strong knowledge of footwear construction, material construction, material properties, manufacturing practices and quality management

• Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions

• Show initiative to balance and resolve competing interests and priorities within strict time constraints

• Seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

• Strong communication skills.

• Fluent in English; Knowledge of Chinese would be a bonus

• Able to travel (both local and overseas)
