Senior Technical Service Engineer

Job Definition
The Technical Service Engineer’s role is to support the commercial team in developing new business, as well as to support existing customers to run their equipment efficiently with our closures.
Job Responsibility
1. Support sales team to grow the business of plastic closures in all fields
(beverage, food, chemical, medical).
2. Maintain a high level of confidence with customers to build trust with good in
time support and reliability.
3. Improve operability conditions in customer capping lines with technical
assistance and give technical trainings.
4. Help customers optimize their closure application or capping machines
during application of our closures.
5. Liaise with Technical Service teams and R&D centers in Bericap Germany and
other Bericap group companies to verify closure specification, do closure
testing for new projects and support new design developments.
6. Prepare drawings for necessary adapter and machine parts with CAD
Software (i.e. Auto CAD, Solid works).
7. Order spare-parts, chucks and gauges and maintain the inventory of all parts
and safety stock.
8. Do testing of application related closure function and performance on bottles,
build and maintain the database.
9. Perform required measurements of bottles to ensure compatibility with
our closures and feedback to customers.
10. File timely technical reports and checklists subsequent to every technical visit
at our customers facilities.
11. Carry out any other duties assigned by the General Manager/TS Manager.
Job requirements
Qualification:
• 1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 2. Experience working on beverage filling machinery or industrial liquids packaging
• 3. Working knowledge of precision machining
Experience:
• 1. At least 3 years as field technician in servicing/installation of equipment for manufacturing environment
• 2. Experience working with capping equipment or industrial filling lines is an advantage
• 3. Proficient in using Microsoft Office, SAP, Auto CAD or Solid works
Skills:
• 1. Proficient in oral and written English.
• 2. Proactive working style and effective with minimal supervision.
• 3. Pleasant personality with good communication skills.
• 4. Good team player with responsible behavior.
• 5. Willing to travel in Asia Pacific region
