Senior Purchasing Officer

Position Summary:

The Senior Purchasing Officer plays a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of goods and services to support the operational and project requirements of the company. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing & Procurement:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for HVAC-related components, including sheet metal, plastic injection, electric motors, insulation materials, etc.

• Leverage various sourcing channels, such as industry trade shows, online platforms, and professional networks.

• Manage the supplier selection process and conduct thorough supplier evaluations, including financial stability, quality systems, and delivery performance.

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.

2. Cost Management: Actively seek cost-saving opportunities through cost analysis, "Make vs. Buy" evaluations, and the implementation of cost-reduction initiatives.

3. Supplier Relationship Management:

• Resolve any supply chain issues or disputes effectively and efficiently.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Planning, to ensure smooth and timely procurement.

4. Project Support: Actively participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects and provide support throughout the product development cycle by identifying and sourcing alternative materias & outsourcing services.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business Administration, engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience, with a strong focus on sourcing activities.

• Proven experience in international sourcing and procurement, especially in the HVAC industry or related fields (e.g., electrical motor, PCBA, sheet metal, plastic injection, insulation materials-closed cell PVC, EPDM, PU foam) is highly preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to speak Chinese is preferrable.

• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software is required.

• Good at negotiation, problem solving and communication skills.

• Result-oriented; good analysis

Willingness to travel within Vietnam and Southeast Asia as required.
