Job description
The Regional Product Owner is responsible for understanding and aligning the business needs of their regional stakeholders and gathering requirements to translate, define, and prioritize enhancement solutions with our enterprise cross-functional teams. They also represent the interests and needs of end-users and ensure the clear and effective implementation of new features, ongoing support, and overall adoption.
1. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison for regional stakeholders and business units (BUs) across Asia to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements, aligning regional business needs to the enterprise’s digital demand creation strategy.
- Understand and provide regional-specific feedback or requirements to MarTech stack.
- Partner with Enterprise Product Owner(s) to prioritize regional needs into the overarching strategy.
- Partners to drive and enable activation to create value at a local level.
- Oversee Regional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure execution and alignment across business units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, product marketing, sales, culinary, analytics, and external agency partners.
2. Product Development and Management:
- Define, document, and prioritize enhancement solutions that address key business needs and opportunities.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable deliverables for cross-functional teams; and determines regional activation vs local activation.
- Create solution-focused user stories with descriptions and acceptance criteria tied to project value drivers.
- Manage a healthy backlog according to regional business requirements and alignment with enterprise digital demand creation strategy.
- Champion product value and data cleanliness with data stewards, teams, and business unit stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of the global sales process and ensure regional processes are aligned with the global standard, responsible for region-specific sub-processes as needed.
3. Project Leadership:
- Oversee the implementation of new digital features; ensuring they meet objectives and user expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective regional features and improvements.
- Partner with the global process/OCM/adoption leads to support the planning and product release and lead the post-launch performance efforts regionally.
- Drive regional adoption and engagement through effective communication, training, and ongoing support. Keep SMEs and BUs up to date on the timing and progress of new features.
4. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Monitor and document process metrics to identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with the enterprise process owner on recommendations.
- Develop and align regional KPIs to the enterprise strategy; continuously report on results for local markets.
- Evaluate regional needs and emerging trends to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Continuously upskilling and implementing change management at local levels.
5. Advocacy and Representation:
- Build relationships with local market and business unit leads to understand their needs and articulate their impact on customer value and success.
- Ensure seamless communication and execution of initiatives between the enterprise and regional teams.
- Represent regional digital users in enterprise forums and strategic planning sessions, providing regional insights and feedback to support the development of scalable, globally aligned solutions.
- Champion user-centric design and functionality to enhance business performance and customer satisfaction.
Job requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the digital landscape, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Master’s degree in business, marketing, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of the digital landscape and its application in demand creation and marketing initiatives.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience working across Asia region, aware of cultural and business nuances.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills; ability to influence and inspire teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to make decisions independently.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) at all levels in English.
