Senior Paraplanner/ Financial Planner Assistant (Home-Based)

• Conducting research on Super, Insurance, Investment and change to products, services and strategy options.

• Producing risk analysis or financial plans to meet the clients’ needs.

• Discuss with Advisors to build up financial strategy to meet clients’ objectives based on existing situation of clients.

• Assisting the financial advisor(s) in all facets of preparation of client facing documents and recommendations.

• Assisting with the strategy implementation including financial product applications and follow up with underwriting process.

• Assist with producing records of advice, ongoing fee consent and fee disclosure statements.

• Assist advisers in responding to clients’ requests at any time.

• Ensure all client data and information correctly entered and saved into Financial Planning Software.

• Reconcile product provider revenue statements and ensure they match in financial planning software.

• Process weekly revenue runs, update what has come in and follow through until paid, and ensure they match in financial planning software.

• Ad hoc duties.

• Other administration tasks that are required.

• 5 years + experience in Australian financial planning area / professional services firm

• Ability to develop a working knowledge of the Australian Superannuation and taxation system

• Degree qualified in the areas of Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting – Foreign education and working experience are preferred.

• Ability to focus on objectives, task driven with the ability to think independently

• Well organized and high attention to details and be accountable

• Ability to interact well with other team members

• Willingness to learn all areas of Financial Planning processes including Superannuation, Investments, Gearing, Retirement income, Tax minimisation strategies and Insurance.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office packages and if possible, experience in Financial Planning software

• Ability to work as part of a team and have a proactive approach and to work unsupervised

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
