Senior Java Backend Developer

As a Senior Java Backend Developer at OPES Insurance, you will play a crucial role in building and developing core systems and insurance business software to support the company's operations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring seamless integration and stable operation of systems between OPES and its business partners.

1. Design & Develop Software Systems:

- Collaborate with team members to design and break down application modules and functions based on business requirements.

- Build databases that meet business needs.

- Develop and maintain backend applications for web platforms.

- Integrate with middleware APIs to ensure end-to-end interaction flow.

2. Support Application Transfer:

Train and transfer knowledge about the developed/deployed software systems to relevant units.

3. Handle System Errors and Issues:

- Receive, fix, and timely upgrade applications when errors arise or when there is a need to upgrade product features.

1. Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or related fields.

2. Relevant Knowledge/Expertise:

- Proficient in Java Spring & Hibernate.

- Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.

- Additional knowledge/expertise is an advantage (preferred): JavaScript, Node.js/React.js framework.

- Understanding and experience with client-server model and microservices architecture.

- Knowledge and experience with Big Data, Elasticsearch, and Kibana are a plus.

3. Skills:

- Strong analytical, design, programming, and deployment skills for applications and software services.

- Proactive in learning and implementing new technologies.

- Open to changes or completely redoing projects when required.

- Teamwork skills and ability to read and understand English technical documents.

4. Relevant Experience:

- At least 3 years of experience in software system development.

- Preferably experienced in the insurance sector or involved in programming system projects in the insurance field.

- Experience in project-based work, especially with Big Data, Data Analytics, OCR, AI projects is a plus.
