About the role

The Senior Editor is responsible for overseeing the editorial process for all communications and marketing materials for Fulbright University Vietnam. This role will ensure the quality and consistency of messaging, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the university's visibility and engagement with its audiences. The Senior Editor will play a pivotal role in shaping the university's narrative across multiple platforms, including the website, social media, and print publications.

Roles and Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities of the Senior Editor includes but is not limited to:

• Content creation and management:

o Create, edit and proofread content for various publications, including newsletters, website articles, social media posts, and marketing materials.

o Contribute to the development of communication strategies that enhance the university's profile and effectively convey its mission and values.

o Work with academic departments and administration to highlight key initiatives, research, and achievements.

o Engage with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni, to gather content and insights that enhance the university’s narrative.

o Monitor website analytics to assess content performance and make recommendations for improvement.

• Quality assurance:

o Conduct thorough reviews of all editorial content to maintain high quality, accuracy, and clarity.

o Develop and enforce editorial guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across all materials.

o Ensure all content aligns with Fulbright’s brand voice and messaging standards across channels.

Other duties:

Contributing to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to enhance the services of the department; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed; and perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Literature,

Communications or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in editorial roles, preferably in

a higher education or nonprofit setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both English

and Vietnamese.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple

projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build relationships

with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong understanding of digital content strategies.

• Understanding of SEO principles and familiarity with content

management systems (CMS) is a plus.
