Job description
Job Purpose
• Review credit applications from corporate clients and make informed recommendations backed by sound assessment on the credit worthiness and risk profile of the business;
• Ensure adherence to internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies
• Ensure strong credit portfolio through timely and effective credit assessment and monitoring
• To assist Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing the client and servicing their daily banking requirements
Responsibilities
• Interact with clients and gather information with regard to deal requirements & financial statements & other inputs for performing quality analysis and due diligence.
• Work with RM/product partners in developing credit solutions for the clients and ensuring the appropriateness of the products.
• Responsible for end-to-end credit process including
+ Analysis of financial strength of counterparties;
+ Analysis of market and sectors;
+ Identification of risks and mitigants;
+ Recommendation on risk recommending risk limits and risk ratings; obtaining approvals for credit proposals;
• Ensure compliance of all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies;
• Ensure timely submission of the credit reports;
• Monitor Risk Triggers, covenants and other credit conditions and report appropriately
• Day-to-day client management: To provide full support to RMs on clients’ daily inquiries, transactions, utilizations, documentation.
• Business development: To maintain strong relationships with the clients and assist RMs in influencing clients to maximise limits utilization and cross sell.
• Credit Management – To assist in the monitoring of credit quality of the portfolio and the review of credit facilities to clients if required.
• Others – To perform any other duties consistent with the role as assigned by management from time to time
Job requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, or finance. CFA certification a plus;
• At least 3 years experience in the Vietnam wholesale/large corporate banking industry; Previous experience as a credit analyst preferred;
• Knowledge of credit products, market trends, and/or loan procedures;
• Effective written/oral communications skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle demands according to urgencies and client expectations
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to define problems, establish facts and synthesize conclusions
• Ability to research financial topics and present accessible reports on that research to colleagues with differing areas of expertise
• Ability to work in a team with team members from across geographies
