Job description
Responsible and accountable in ensuring the quality and integrity of Deckers’s A&A products that are produced and shipped out from partner production factories through incoming materials screening audits, regular in-process production audits and final goods inspections. She/He is also tasked to monitor production orders schedule versus ex-factory commitments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in updating the Vendor Manual, Inspection Guideline, Packing Guideline, other production documents.
• Collaborate with Deckers development team, technical specialist and factories in holding the PP meeting, identify the quality risks, provide technical support, set up standard, manage the solutions.
• In charge of bulk material approval, audit factories IMQC process and inspection report.
• Lead the Deckers’s certified factory QC to implement the on-site or virtual in-line and final inspection, audit factory QC inspection report, monitor the factories daily quality performance, detect root cause and implement appropriate actions, solve problems with factories efficiently.
• Do random checking of production materials physical property testing, finished garment testing and RS tests.
• Assist in production quality data collection, follow up quality lock/chargeback issues, conduct investigation and analysis.
• Assist in leading factories to establish and enhance a standard operating system on quality control from incoming material checking to finished goods inspection, including QC people training and evaluation.
• Implement and maintain Deckers guideline and instruction to factories, evaluate the process and lead the improvement program.
• Collaborate with Deckers planning on production status tracking to ensure on time delivery.
• Other assignments from senior.
Job requirements
Education & Any Certifications Required:
• College Graduate or any equivalent Technical course.
Year(s) of Experience & Background Required:
• Minimum 3 years working experience in a reputable apparel or bags company in production, development, or quality control/assurance.
• Strong communication skills & good at problem solving
Functional & Technical Competencies:
• Comprehensive knowledge of apparel or accessories(including bags, socks, hats etc) manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in both written / spoken English
• Proficiency in word/excel/PPT
