Senior Account Executive POSM (Buyer)
Job description
The SAE (Buyer) role will be focused on 2D campaign and 3D temporary/permanent point of sale and promotional merchandise and be in charge of performing vendor activities, ensuring that all saving target is delivered and sourcing process are adhered.
You will be responsible, when client contact is needed, to providing a professional working relationship with client. And ultimately ensuring that a first class communication and service are delivered. You will represent Tag in the eyes of the client, and deliver the service adhered to account KPI’s on a daily basis.
In conjunction with the Account Manager team and Sourcing team, you will have to ensure that the most appropriate supplier is selected, best costings and time-scales for each job are set and that benchmarking is accurate.
This position requires a candidate with 1-2 years of experience in POSM procurement, preferably within an outsourcing or procurement services environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of supply chain management, vendor management, and client relationship management.
Overrall Responsibilities:
• Act as Brand ambassador and ensure overall service delivery against performance targets.
• Implement best practices and standardized processes.
• Develop strong relationships with the Users and become the ‘go to’ person for product expertise, sustainability and innovation.
• Escalate operational, compliance and financial risk areas to Account Manager and provide resolutions back.
POSM Procurement Management
• Implement best practices and standardized POSM end to end processes.
• Handle and maintain the control of all POSM project in production schedules, quality and cost effectives.
• Assign jobs to suppliers according to established policies, procedures, and systems to achieve maximum economic value for business expending
• Coordinate with related departments and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow
• Procurement of POS materials, delivering on time, to specification, to quality and to contractual targets
• Develops strong relationships with suppliers and is expert in their capabilities
User (Client) Management
• Receiving Orders and reporting project progress; providing quality oversight,
• Communicate with stakeholders for RFQ, sample, schedule, quality, engineering, logistic etc.
• To work closely with client and Tag internal teams ensuring the briefs and requirements are fully understood and the whole process is conducted to deadline
• To manage the dependencies between sourcing and relevant business areas to ensure effective handovers, supplier liaison and involvement of the appropriate parties as part of deal transition
• Provide technical input and advice on projects as required
• Implements and uses management information systems
• Manage WIP and P/L report to manager by weekly base
Orders Management
• Management of the logistics practice to make sure the goods can be delivered in right time, right quality, and right format
• Paperwork preparation, container ordering etc.
Compliance and Finance
• Responsible for an accurate quotation before submit to client
• Ensures most competitive costs are achieved on each project
• Ensures best practice procedures/documentation are followed
• Identify cost save opportunity
• Invoice collection and reconciliation
• Responsible for a timely data submission to account admin for immedia key-in
Job requirements
Professional
• At least 1-2 years of experience in POSM procurement, preferably within an outsourcing or procurement services environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills to work with different levels of people both locally and regionally, internally and externally
• Significant print industry experience in either purchasing or production management; strong Point of Sale (POS) knowledge is an essential
• Strong project management and administration skills
• Positive communication and interpersonal skills. Relationship and partnership approach
• Relevant procurement qualification or experience
• Understanding of retailer and brand operations are plus.
• Proven experience of Print & PoS pre-press and proofing
• Proven experience of all relevant PoS manufacturing (paper, wood, acrylic, metal, etc.) processes
• Strong negotiation skills
• Supplier communications and management skills
• Proven financial understanding - cost and income contribution / Buy-Sell pricing
• Proficiency and fluency in English language is a must
