Reinsurance Team Leader

Main Responsibilities include but not limited to following: • To analyze risks and its exposures for assessment of risk quality and insurance coverage including costing of risks and other related requirements • To ensure compliance with company guidelines in the underwriting of facultative business • To ensure proper administration of facultative business transacted including follow-up actions for endorsement, registration in IT system and reporting. • To provide advice on claims matters • To co-operate with other teams in the pursuit of company targets • To take on other assigned roles and responsibilities relevant to facultative reinsurance business • Be able to carry out desk-top evaluation of a risk and where necessary seek relevant information clarification from the cedant/broker • Be able to cost the exposure and set other terms and conditions so as to ensure long-term profitability • Be able to evaluate and steer portfolio in order to enhance results and to fit company’s risk appetite.

• Worked in the insurance/ reinsurance industry for more than 5 years as a Property Underwriter • Good network with local insurance market (Direct insurers/Brokers) • Work experience with regional responsibilities and good knowledge of markets • Underwriting experience and market knowledge of SEA • Fluent English spoken and written is essential • Additional regional language(s) would be an advantage • Excellent oral and written communication with good negotiation skills • Good interpersonal skills, approachable and a good team player • Possesses leadership qualities • Willing to travel • Degree in a technical discipline like Engineering preferred • ACII/FCII or equivalent would be an advantages
