Quality Technician

We are looking for a quality control apparel technician specialising in wovens: Jackets/lowers/Denim. This role will be based in our Ho Chi Minh City HQ for a rapidly expanding global New Zealand based menswear brand.

Your role will be critical for ensuring our premium apparel product is kept to the highest standards to contribute to the projected global growth of Rodd & Gunn.

About the role

As a Quality Technician, specialising in Jackets & Bottoms categories, you will be on the front line of keep up our high-quality standards.

Priorities are, but not restricted to, will be:

- Liaising between the Rodd & Gunn Product Team in Melbourne and our factory partners

- In charge of Rodd & Gunn quality control, working closely with our factory partners for quality improvement.

- Frequent factory visits to ensure our standards are being followed during in-line inspections.

- Working alongside QA lead, based in HCM office.

- Working closely with the Production Merchandiser – Jackets & Bottoms ( support checking sample, final inspection report, fabric / garment test report, resolve issues in production)

- Comment/measure pre-production samples (PP samples) and send recommendations on fit and quality improvements, measurement grading to the Rodd & Gunn Product team in Melbourne.

- Liaise with 3rd party quality inspectors such as SGS & Intertek.

- Review and solve fabric quality issues ( such as shade grouping and cutting around imperfections )

- Train factory partners to make sure they understand and can follow Rodd & Gunn manual.

- Random audit factory to ensure Rodd & Gunn code of conduct & policies are followed accordingly.

- Other tasks as required

Fluent in English.

A tertiary education in related fields.

Minimum 2 years experience as a Quality Technician

Full knowledge of garment construction and sound knowledge of patternmaking and grading.

Strong understanding of the product development process and timelines.

Tech pack / BOM understanding.

Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).
