QC Manager (Oil & Gas Industry)

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System:

• Establish and operate QC management systems for projects, ensuring compliance with company, client, and legal requirements.

• Supervise quality control processes, technical inspections, and documentation for the company and its projects.

2. Issue Resolution:

• Investigate, analyze, and track the resolution of non-conformities.

Process and Documentation:

• Develop and maintain quality control procedures, inspection plans (ITPs), and quality documentation.

• Manage quality documentation, including creating and maintaining a welding procedure library for projects.

3. Project Support:

• Prepare tender documents and develop quality management systems for company projects.

• Propose and study new technologies or welding methods to improve productivity and quality.

Audits and Certifications:

• Participate in scheduled and ad-hoc audits and customer evaluations.

• Oversee actions to address audit findings and ensure continuous compliance with relevant standards.

4. Stakeholder Management:

• Evaluate and monitor contractors and suppliers for QC-related services, addressing deficiencies, and providing support.

• Coordinate with stakeholders, including subcontractors, customers, and regulatory agencies, ensuring effective communication and work alignment.

5. Risk and Change Management:

• Identify and address project risks and opportunities, resolving issues promptly.

• Develop plans to manage project changes effectively to maintain QC standards.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related fields (e.g., electrical, automation, mechanical, construction).

CSWIP 3.2, NDT Level 2, NACE, or FROSIO certifications, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years in QC within oil and gas or renewable energy industries.

• At least 5 years in QC management roles, particularly in EPC/EPCI projects (construction, fabrication, installation). Offshore experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with working with foreign clients and handling interfaces between stakeholders.

Skills:

• Strong planning, resource control, and QC reporting skills.

• Proficient in creating QC requirements and tender documents.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

Languages and Tools:

• Fluent in English.
