Job Summary
The Marketing Procurement Sourcing Manager plans, sources, selects, and negotiates with suppliers to ensure that performance meets requirements in a cost-effective manner for the Marketing Category (Below the Line). The role includes influencing internal stakeholders on demand management, source selection and vendor strategies; negotiating the best overall commercial arrangement with suppliers, developing and maintaining relationships with vendors/suppliers for long-term contracts.
Job Responsibilities
Planning
• Engage with key stakeholders in the early stage of the sourcing process to ensure a complete alignment of objectives and expectations.
• Lead to the team to forecast on future demand and place orders in a timely fashion based upon vendor lead-time.
• Regular communicate with stakeholders to update on any changes and adjust the plan accordingly.
• Participate in budget development of the company to support strategic goals.
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
• Conduct spend analysis activities to identify opportunities for spend consolidation in order to look for cost savings possibilities.
• Work with end-users to understand business requirements and constantly look for opportunities to rationalise demand across the business
• Ensure each of category/sub-category manager in the team conduct market analysis to understand the market size, scale and suppliers' capabilities of their assigned categories.
• Work with Sourcing staffs to document category historic spend and the total cost of ownership (TCO) for key category products and services to identify savings opportunities within assigned Sourcing category.
• Responsible for negotiation of best possible cost service guarantee and develop "win-win" strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
• Develop Service Level Agreements with contracted suppliers to promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Formulate effective sourcing strategies that accomplish performance and savings goals, anticipate potential threats or opportunities, and are consistent with department goals and policies.
• Forecast and manage all the sourcing risks, especially risks when inducing new suppliers
Contract Management
• Facilitate contract execution with key category suppliers to ensure that required terms and conditions are included and that contract termination dates are tracked and managed.
Supplier Management
• Monitor the supply base and lead the team to continuously look for opportunities to rationalise the number of suppliers.
• Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives.
• Cooperate with Transactional team for proposed list for supplier evaluation.
• Review the results and propose action with low performance suppliers. Prepare back-up supplier within 03 months after evaluation result.
• Segment the suppliers into different groups based on their characteristics and identify strategies to manage relationship with those suppliers accordingly.
Procedure Compliance
• Ensure the team comply Procurement Policy and SOP with no violation on company procedure
People Development
• Leverage management experience to build skills in collaboration and working effectively with cross functions members to deliver the goals successfully.
• Provide training session for process/policy updates to all staffs, on-job coaching to new staffs and guidance to under-performed staffs.
• Promote team bonding and engage team members to work and co-operate with others effectively in order to achieve strategic goals and business plans
Job requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management and/or preferred to be major in Supply Chain, Procurement.
• 5+ Years experience in team leading roles in administration or procurement for Sales and MKT function
• Good time management - able to make timely decisions that can create real savings or cost avoidance
• Good teamwork - able to work cross functional team effectively
• Influence and persuasion skills
• Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and result-oriented"
• English proficient
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Power Point and Word
• Able to understand procurement / inventory management system
