Product Development Specialist

How does your job as Product Development Specialist at Rijk Zwaan Vietnam in Lam dong look like?

As Product Development Specialist you are part of our sales and product development team, with specific responsibility for building relationships with distributors, dealers, nurseries, key growers... Moreover, you fulfil an essential role in carrying out market research, implementing marketing activities, following complex market dynamics and developments, and initiating new business developments together and in accordance with our Crop Specialist, Client Managers, . You share knowledge about the market development, product knowledge… and work closely together with the Vietnamese R&D team, Marketing Team and product development team. Finally, you will become responsible for several clients at the specific region. This entails the following:

• Developing trustworthy relationships with the distributors/ dealers/clients

• Participate in product development activities and variety choice for your market region.

• Carry out and participate in promotional and marketing activities

• Pro-actively contribute to and communicate about the development of the digital services within the subsidiary

• Take care of communication with the relevant stakeholders at your market region.

Your contribution:

You are a strong communicator with a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm. As proactive collaborator you are resourceful, and you support the Distributors/ Dealers / Clients in creating/developing new market , new products … With your commercial insight, social skills and team mentality you can establish and strongly maintain long-term relationships in the market region for vegetables in Vietnam. Given the nature of this position, you are open to travel nationally and you also speak English fluently. In addition, we can find the following on your resume:

• A completed bachelor in the field of Agriculture and/or Business

• At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience

• Knowledge of and experience with commercial (producer/buyer) dynamics

• Know-how of sales techniques and product development, Preferably knowledge of and experience with vegetable seed commercial/ product development

• Good negotiation skill, Customer service oriented, Integrity

What can you expect from us?

As Product Development Specialist you will be part of the commercial team of Rijk Zwaan Vietnam. The team consists of Product Development Specialist, Marketing… colleagues who are working together to develop new varieties for our customers. We have our own Trial Station in Da Lat and our office in HCMC. The Product Development Specialist for Lamdong province will play an important role in developing relationships with dealers/ growers in market region, develop products to fit to market demand and transferring technology to growers … and initiating new business developments to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success in Vietnam.
