Job description
This position will be responsible for the Product and Application of Refractive (REF) in Ophthalmic (OPT) Strategic Business Unit. This person will be responsible for the product and application activities, regular visits of existing and prospective customers across the region, conducting Product presentations and Clinical training to prospective customers, maintaining close relationships with potential business partners and dealers and implementing promotional activities such as trade shows, exhibitions and seminars ect to develop the REF business within OPT in North; including but not limited to
• Conducting clinical application training for REF surgeons/customers at Zeiss training center and/or at customer site
• Focus on clinical uses, education and improving customer workflows
• Develop, maintain and deliver applications-focused training on the equipment and accessories
• Apply product and clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues where needed
• Knowledge and understanding of competitive products/ market update
• Product and solution presentation for customers
• Product training for sales team
• Manage key accounts, Build KOL’s for REF business in the region
• Supporting the preparation of bids for major tenders/projects in your territory
• Support sales members with technical matters such as log files, case records
• To be able to join or take lead on ad-hoc projects
Job requirements
1. Education / Professional Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration, Biomedical, Marketing, or related fields.
Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry is a plus
2. Experience
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in product and application in medical device industry
• Knowledge of the medical ophthalmology industry is a priority
• Experienced in OR working with doctors/surgeons
• Strong analytical skills are necessary to evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and other data to make informed decisions about product development and marketing.
