The Procurement Manager at Allingham Home will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that all materials, products, and raw materials required across the business are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves identifying and developing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the timely delivery of goods. While the focus will be on sourcing upholstery materials, the Procurement Manager will also be responsible for procuring a wide range of other items necessary for the business, including raw materials, hardware, accessories, and packaging materials.
Key Responsibilities:
• **Supplier Management:** Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for various categories of products, materials, and raw materials, with a primary focus on upholstery fabrics, but also including other essential materials such as wood, foam, metal components, hardware, accessories, and packaging.
• **Contract Negotiation:** Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
• **Quality Control:** Ensure that all procured materials, products, and raw materials meet the company’s quality standards. Work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues related to product quality.
• **Cost Management:** Develop and manage budgets for procurement activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
• **Inventory Management:** Work closely with the inventory team to ensure that materials, products, and raw materials are available when needed, while minimizing excess stock and reducing waste.
• **Supply Chain Coordination:** Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, products, and raw materials.
• **Market Research:** Stay updated on market trends, new products, raw materials, and emerging suppliers to ensure that Allingham Home remains competitive.
• **Compliance:** Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant legal regulations.
• **Reporting:** Provide regular reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and market trends.

Qualifications
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement of which 3 years needs to be specific to the furniture industry, with a strong understanding of raw materials sourcing.
Experience sourcing upholstery fabrics from China for use in Vietnam is essential.
Skills:
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of market trends, raw materials, and supply chain dynamics.
Spoken and written Chinese is a plus.
