PDM Manager

Communication and Coordination:

- Act as the primary point of contact between adidas, the technical team, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and alignment.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, technical, and production) to address challenges and ensure project success.

Material and Product Management:

- Prepare raw material orders and maintain accurate data based on raw material maps and basic color references.

- Ensure timely and accurate calculation of product costs to support production planning.

- Develop new materials with suppliers, ensuring testing and approval compliance with adidas standards.

- Monitor material issues before mass production, including color transfer, quality, lead times, and MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity).

Sample and Production Oversight:

- Oversee sample progress from material preparation, cutting, sewing, and assembly to ensure timely completion.

- Evaluate sample quality and quantity before submission to adidas for approval.

- Review and sign off on production samples (PFC) before mass production begins.

- Inspect confirmation samples to verify accuracy and quality before transitioning to full-scale production.

Problem Solving and Technical Guidance:

- Participate in meetings with the technical team to identify challenges and recommend solutions before mass production.

- Prepare comprehensive technical notes for the production team, ensuring clarity and completeness of information.

Monitoring and Leadership:

- Ensure adherence to adidas standards and processes at all stages of material and product development.

- Lead and mentor the PDM team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members and monitor progress toward achieving organizational goals.

**Job Requirements:**

- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, or Material Science).

- **Experience:**

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Development or Material Management within the footwear or apparel industry.

- At least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.

- **Skills and Knowledge:**

- Strong understanding of raw material development and costing.

- Proficiency in managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

- Analytical skills to calculate product costs and manage budgets effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills to address material and production challenges.

- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and effective communication skills.

- Familiarity with adidas standards and ISO processes is a plus.

- **Leadership:** Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and drive results.
