Mizumi Westlake - Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job description
• Assist Manager to manage the restaurant operations of the hotel to ensure the achievement of established beverage quality and guest service quality standards and departmental revenue and profit goals.
• Responsible for all management functions, operating procedures, practices and results of the restaurant.
• Deliver daily briefings and attend other Food and Beverage meetings as scheduled.
• Ensure high level of cleanliness in the restaurant at all times.
• Adhere to all safety and hygiene procedures in handling all equipment, utensils and crockeries and to prevent from accidents and minimize breakages.
• Attend all training assigned to and assist with the training of new colleagues as and when scheduled.
• Checks the dining room before opening hours: table setting, tableware, furniture, lightings, mis-en place and condiments - that they are in order.
• Checks staff uniforms, shoes, general appearance and makes sure they are well-groomed.
• Responsible for all store requisitions on fresh orders and replenishment for the outlet’s consumption.
• Takes food and beverage orders and assists waiters/waitresses in service.
• Ensure maximum creativity in all food displays.
• Checks all orders before they are sent to the guests’ tables and makes sure they are as per guests requirements, from the food down to the beverages.
• Responsible for all monetary amounts stated in guest checks and responsible also for all missing checks.
• Ensures that all restaurant policies and procedures are followed in order to provide quality service to guests.
• Active monitoring and participation in social media to increase awareness and business to restaurant.
• Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
Job requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or other related fields.
2. Health and safety and food hygiene certificates.
3. Fluent in Vietnamese, English and knowing Japanese is an advantage.
4. Have at least 4 year of experience in the same position in luxurious Japanese restaurants or in 4* hotels or higher.
5. Agile, enthusiastic, honest, careful and responsible; sociable, friendly and pressure-resistant.
