Mechanical Quality Principle Engineer (Principal Supplier Process Engineer)

What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Supplier Process Engineer, you will be responsible for specific commodity quality. Interfaces with development and supplier engineering to provide materials and components for company product manufacturing. Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices and quality standards are met. Accountable for quality system and process audits and provides recommendation to Commodity Team for supplier selection. Serves as a quality liaison with the supplier manufacturing facility. Communicates product specifications to suppliers and assesses supplier’s ability to meet engineering and quality requirements. Identifies potential quality risks to the supply chain in order to ensure continuity of supply. Supports activities and initiatives to include timely new product launching and stable ramp to ensure time to volume. Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur. Besides that:

You will:

-Works closely with suppliers, sustaining groups and extended core team to ensure product productibility at the supplier.

-Assists to assure capacity and continuity of supply for specific components. Assists in excursion management through root cause analysis. Drives implementation and validation of improvement/corrective actions.

-Provides recommendations and risk assessments on new suppliers and new process technology.

-Responsible for sustaining activities and process activities. Responsible for driving the continuous improvement plan.

-Works with the supplier to develop and implement the quality management plan using industry tools and standards to drive quality improvements and initiatives.

-At least 8 years relevant experience in Mechanical with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering related studies.

-Specific knowledge of global computer products and the peripherals industry

-Numerous engineering disciplines and manufacturing process knowledge.

-Technical expertise in some commodities

-Willing to travel and support ODM in Northern Vietnam

-Advanced quality system and lead auditor experience

-Strong command of English. Added advantage with Chinese language capability.
