The role
Austrade Vietnam is recruiting for a Marketing Manager (MM) with 3 to 5-year experience in managing and delivering targeted marketing and communication strategies and activities, and in working either within the Australian government agencies or multinational organisations. In particular in marketing function would be highly regarded.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Marketing and Research Manager will:
• Work with the Senior Trade Commissioner and the Marketing and Communications Team in Sydney to develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications strategy for Vietnam which utilises a range of innovative channels and solutions.
• Develop and draft promotional news articles and business insights and disseminate these through various communication channels (including online, media, and through partners) to promote business opportunities in Vietnam to Australian and Vietnamese audiences.
• Develop, design and execute the Vietnam team’s marketing and social media strategy (particularly LinkedIn, Facebook) in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Strategic Communications team in Vietnam.
• Lead Austrade Vietnam team’s digital marketing efforts, including through drafting of relevant industry and trade promotion content that can be used on Facebook, LinkedIn and other media channels.
• Work with the Austrade team in Vietnam to maximise the successful implementation of events, activities and initiatives, including through the execution of a marketing plan, the production of marketing communications and collateral.
• Work with the Marketing team in Australia to ensure that Austrade’s corporate marketing policies and branding guidelines are adhered to and applied across the team.
• Research and develop valuable content to update the Vietnam local site regularly on Austrade’s corporate website, in partnership with the Vietnam team.
• Identify opportunities for local media, advertising and advertorials and liaise with DFAT Strategic Communications team in Vietnam to maximise exposure.
• Through communications aspect of role, lead drafting and proofing of external written communications including speech writing for key events, and proof reading of market industry and client reports drafted by Austrade’s business development team.
• Provide marketing advice on online database management for events and missions, regular newsletters and one-off email marketing and communications.
• Research and develop communication plan with key stakeholders including through the development of corporate profiles, reports, presentations, speeches, media releases and market briefs.
• Set up templates and libraries to drive a consistent and efficient approach to marketing by the team.
• Leverage marketing activities and share best practice with marketing colleagues in Austrade offices in Asia, as well as in Australia.
• Utilise internal databases and knowledge management systems to support work practices.
• Manage local designers, printers and agencies to deliver the marketing and communications strategy.
• Actively apply Austrade business practices and maintain accuracy of information in all Austrade Business Systems to deliver accurate and timely reporting and effective relationship management.
• Contribute to knowledge creation within Austrade, by adopting information practices, sharing knowledge and information and by embracing best practice and development opportunities.
Job requirements
What you’ll need to be successful
There are six particular aspects we will consider when looking for successful candidate for this role, namely:
• Demonstrated experience managing and delivering marketing & communications strategies and plans, ideally for an international or professional services organisation.
• Superior written and verbal communications skills in English and Vietnamese.
• Hands-on experience with contemporary marketing tools including social media, graphic design, printing, multimedia, sponsorship and events, and experience of briefing and managing suppliers of these within tight budgets and deadlines.
• Well-developed research, reporting, organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Commitment to high standards, and to taking the initiative and responsibility for delivering outcomes.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Decision-making, influencing and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Digital Literacy
• Awareness of the digital environment and how to engage with clients in a digital first manner.
• Confidently use digital workplace tools to solve problems, be productive, connect and collaborate with others.
