Manufacturing Engineer Painting

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Be responsible for Special Processes - (e.g. Surface Treatment) and Technology support both for NPI / EC’s and mass (volume) production. Driving continuous QLTC improvement on Special Process.

- Define and maintain Pre-treatment, Painting work instructions and technical specifications. Lead sustainable continue improvement on relevant procedure.

- Sheet Metal manufacturing support

Tasks:

• Provide technical support during NPI stage on new painting, surface treatment, heat treatment, cleaning process etc. Including but not limited to customer spec understanding, process setup, support on supplier qualification and process qualification, review and validate the test result, 3rd test etc.

• Establish the work preparation for painting & surface treatment parts – improvements and ECN’s, including risk analysis, hours estimation, BOM, WI & checklist and process qualification program.

• Interface with workshop to continually improving existing (Volume) manufacturing processes, tooling or documentations, review and optimize existing process control plans to improve man-efficiency, costs, delivery and Safety (LEAN, CPR, CTR).

• Follow-through with consolidation and analysis of production data in order to assess the effectiveness of these quality improvement initiatives. Provide technical support/expertise to workshop in problem troubleshooting. Maintain Powder set up to balance actual utilization rate.

• Interface with Quality assurance team to execute in-process checking, solve the problem and provide RCA, CAPA to customer quality complaints or in-process quality defects/ findings (PDCA).

• Cooperative work with other functional teams in assessing new vendor and setting up new facilities and process.

• Develop and Conduct training, including technical, LEAN manufacturing concepts and tools to operational operators

• Participate in EHS related actions to improve plant safety in all areas

- Education

Bachelor or above, degree on chemical related major

- Technical Profile:

• Be proficient in Pre Treatment, Painting and Surface treatment processes

• Product knowledge expertise

• Problem solving techniques

• Be familiar with Sheet metal technology

• LEAN Manufacturing & Management Experience is plus

- Preference:

Have over 5 years working experience in Sheet Metal Surface pre-treatment and powder

coating process

• Fluent English both in oral and written. Chinese is plus.
