Logistics Specialist ( Temp 7 Months)

Logistics Specialist will be responsible for working with clients, international agents, shipping lines, forwarders, transporters, and warehouses to arrange all import/export shipments on time; for controlling transportation process, import/export process effectively and relevant documents exactly, systematically.

Key responsibilities:

Transportation and Delivery management

• Develop a strategic logistics plan to optimize logistics cost and transportation cost in line with company growth strategy.

• Develop plans to monitor and optimize transportation costs and exceed customer's expectation of service and delivery (OTIF).

• Execute logistics plan with outsourced transporters and warehouse team to ensure all delivery requirements to customers successfully and optimize cost from shipment/delivery combination.

• Keep tracking for all delivery and solve problems during transportation to customers.

• Manage, supervise, and evaluate transporter’s quality as well as feedback of transportation quality from customers and from other internal departments for continuous improvement.

Import-Export management

• Manage and monitor day to day Ocean/Air operating, Shipment tracing management.

• Work closely with forwarders to ensure all import / export shipments as schedule; review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others.

• Check Import/Export documentation procedures (D/O, contract, B/L, Invoice, Packing list, C/O, customs clearance …).

• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues; liaise with local customs for import/export; import duty, refundable tax...

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.

• Doing customs audit: Yearly health check, CFY, HS controlling…

• Implement KPI report and weekly report/monthly reports.

Safety

• Adhere and comply with all safety and health procedures and regulations, and to inform the HSE team when there is an unsafe act, situation or practice being observed; to implement HUNs and Walk and Talk requirement together.

Others

Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Logistics & Warehouse Manager.

Requirements:

• BA of Supply Chain Management, Economics / Business, Foreign Trade is required.

• Business/ Economic Finance & Accounting/Economic Commercial & Training

• At least 3 years’ experience in import/export/logistics in manufacturing or supply chain operations in multinational companies.

• Working knowledge and experience within a similar field

• Previous experience working with Customs brokers, forwarders, transport providers and international partners preferred.

• Familiarity with glass manufacturing process is an advantage.
