[Logistics] Operation Manager - Focus on Pricing/ Documents/ Operation
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve branch objectives, focusing on operational excellence, pricing competitiveness, and product innovation.
2. Pricing Management: Oversee the pricing strategy for freight forwarding services, analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and cost structures to optimize pricing models and maximize profitability.
3. Product Development: Lead initiatives to identify market opportunities and develop innovative freight forwarding solutions to meet evolving customer needs and industry trends.
4. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Performance Management: Monitor branch performance metrics, including revenue targets, profit margins, and customer satisfaction levels, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure business success.
6. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business requirements and proactively addressing their needs to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
7. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies, and mitigate operational risks to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
8. Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare and manage branch budgets, closely monitoring expenses and revenue streams to achieve financial objectives and drive sustainable growth.
9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, finance, and logistics, to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and drive synergies across the organization.
10. Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive developments, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
Job requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in branch management or senior leadership roles within the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on sales and/ or operations, pricing, and product development.
• Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, market dynamics, and supply chain management principles.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and exceed performance targets.
• Strategic thinker with analytical prowess and problem-solving abilities, capable of making data-driven decisions and driving continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth and profitability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications; familiarity with logistics management systems (LMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a plus.
• Strong commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all business dealings.
