Lead, Data Reconciliation
Job description
JOB PURPOSE
• Responsible for the timely and accurate management of Reconciliations team. This will include supporting the team and overseeing workflow to ensure it is dealt with efficiently and accurately, in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure cost effective and best practice service.
• Support the management of the control environment, problem solving activities, process and change management initiatives, and provide training where required.
• Ensure the delivery and reduce risk to handle increase in volumes.
• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver business goals by providing direction, leadership, and coaching to the team.
JOB RESPONSIBITIES
• Ensure the business is conducted in a way that positively supports risk reduction by improving the enterprise reconciliation control environment.
• Lead team through effective AOM (Automation Operating Model), ensuring resources are managed appropriately and sufficient capacity levels are maintained to meet the peaks and troughs of activity.
• To develop close working relationships with business partners and customers to ensure the timely resolution of operational and service-related issues, providing advice and guidance in relation to any specialist areas of reconciliation activity.
• Review auto-match rates and KPI’s and promote changes to improve the matching/reconciliation processes to minimise exception handling.
• Continually work to identify and support opportunities to transform and optimise operations performance.
• Coaching, monitoring, supervision of direct reports to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their role to be compliant with regulator and external legislation in a professional & ethical manner.
• Oversee the creation and provision of appropriate training and development opportunities for team members, by organising a range of quality on the job training and experiential learning which will help engage them and improve job proficiency, competency and career development.
• Monitor individual & team performance, team engagement, providing performance feedback Including recognition and performance improvement plans.
Job requirements
• Minimum 7 to 10 years' experience in process execution, data processing and operational role, highly preferable experience in Banking or Financial Service industry.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Leadership role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Vietnamese.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with Excel (must have), SAP and PowerBI (nice to have).
• Have reporting skills and experience in working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
• A strong focus on customer experience and handling each interaction with the customer front of mind.
• A team centric mindset and foster a supportive team culture.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills to influence team behaviours to successfully achieve business outcomes.
• Must be well organised and ability to prioritise tasks and meet fix timelines.
• Experience in process and change execution.
• Ability to drive outcomes and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
