Lab Manager

Create effective management to aid in the development and performance of the lab. 1) Ascertain that the management and staff of the lab are not subjected to excessive internal or external pressures or factors that could negatively impact the caliber and assessment of their test and lab operation reports. 2) Keep an eye on the lab's operations and make sure everything is functioning properly, including the technician's technique, room temperature, SOP, 6S, and safety procedures. 3) Examine how many new research materials are needed for each season, assess the lab's test capacity, and make plans for expansion in order to accommodate test requests. 4) To ensure lab test quality and management as necessary, upgrade the lab test competency in terms of layout, test equipment, and personnel. 5) Coach, guide, and inspire the group to meet the daily testing objectives. 6) To balance the workload and create adaptable technicians, schedule cross-training for all team members and frequently schedule job rotations (exchanges of test scope) among the testing sub-teams. Oversee the accuracy of testing and the effectiveness of lab operations to support the high standards for all materials and finished goods. 1) Maintain a reasonable inventory of consumables and ensure the efficient and successful running of daily lab testing. 2) Analyze unsuccessful test data in order to make improvements. 3) Collaborate with IT to optimize LTS's operations in order to further improve the system for iterations that will increase its efficiency for uploading and downloading test reports. 4) Compile and summarize the reports and conduct a monthly performance review of the suppliers and tested items. 5) Examine, investigate, and optimize the industry's new test technology as well as the global new test methods for evaluating new materials. 6) Constantly enhance lab test procedures and expertise for more precise test outcomes and efficient test result completion. 7) To ensure accurate test results, schedule and coordinate the monthly or annual calibration and maintenance of the testing apparatus. 8) Use the VN lab, T1, accredited T2, and third-party labs to plan and conduct the correlation test. Maintain close contact and cooperation with all Deckers partner labs and stakeholders. 1) Work together on testing-related issues (test tracking, timeline, arrangement, updating reports / standards, etc.) with stakeholders (material team, BUs, PD, bottom team). 2) Stay in frequent contact with approved T2 supplier laboratories and T1 factories regarding the testing and release of new materials.

1) A college or university degree is required. 2) Four years of administrative experience and at least six years of technical work expertise in footwear laboratory testing are required; FW product development or production experience is a plus. 3) Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 4) Skilled in data analysis and statistics, lab result appraisal, and recommendation making. 5) Strong communication abilities and written and verbal English competence.
