International Trade Executive

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated International Trade Executive to oversee and facilitate global trading operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of international trade regulations, and exceptional communication abilities. This role requires attention to detail and the capability to build lasting relationships with international clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Market Analysis:
• Research and analyze global markets to identify new business opportunities and potential trading partners.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
Import/Export Operations:
• Coordinate and manage the import/export processes, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Supplier and Client Management:
• Build and maintain relationships with international suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve optimal outcomes.
Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:
• Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure smooth transportation and timely delivery of goods.
• Resolve issues related to customs clearance, shipping delays, or quality discrepancies.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay updated on international trade laws, customs regulations, and tariff schedules.
• Ensure compliance with export controls, trade sanctions, and related legal requirements.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with currency fluctuations, shipping, and trade restrictions.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
Financial Management:
• Monitor trading budgets and financial transactions, including payments, letters of credit, and foreign exchange.
• Analyze cost structures to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of trading activities and transactions.
• Prepare regular reports on trading performance and business development progress.
Job requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Proven experience in international trade, import/export operations, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of international trade laws, regulations, and documentation.
• Proficiency in trade software and tools (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Excellent English communication skills; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to different cultures and work in a global environment.
