HSE Manager (Manufacturing)

Purpose of the role:

As HSE Manager, you will champion health, safety, and environmental excellence within our manufacturing operations. You will drive the development and implementation of robust HSE systems, cultivate a strong safety-conscious culture, and ensure full regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership and coaching to the site leadership team, driving the execution of HSE plans aligned with the company's overall strategy.

• Foster a collaborative environment, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance teamwork and communication.

• Monitor HSE plan implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and performance targets.

• Lead site implementation of global HSE programs and actively participate in knowledge sharing across regional and global communities.

• Contribute to the development and execution of the plant's HSE strategy, aligning with corporate vision and values.

• Identify and promote best practices within the site and across the broader organization.

• Lead monthly HSE meetings to engage employees, promote safe work practices, and review key performance indicators.

• Proactively address obstacles, escalate critical issues, and lead incident investigations and compliance efforts.

• Track, monitor, and report progress against HSE plans, sharing performance data with the regional HSE community.

• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and corporate HSE requirements (including Global Standards).

• Oversee implementation of consistent facility access, induction, and orientation processes.

• Drive risk reduction across all operational activities, with a focus on plant, equipment, and task safety.

• Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.

• Provide expert technical advice and support on HSE matters, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.

• Coach and mentor site leadership teams and HSE personnel on HSE issues.

• Support the development and implementation of proactive health and wellbeing programs.

• Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis, sharing learnings across the organization.

• Engage employees in HSE improvement initiatives and foster a positive safety culture.

• Develop and deliver effective HSE training programs, ensuring legal compliance and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health & Safety or a related field.

• At least 7 years of experience in HSE management, including experience managing small HSE teams.

• Strong technical knowledge of HSE principles, methodologies, practices, and industrial hygiene regulations.

• Familiarity with regional health and safety legal requirements.

• Understanding of integrated management systems for safety and/or environment.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and project management skills.

• Strong ethical principles and a commitment to integrity.
