HSE Executive (Vietnam)

Key Objective of Role

The key objective of this role is to ensure the safety and well-being of employees, contractors, and the environment within an organization. This involves developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment, reduce risks, and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls

• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment for all activities in the factory.

• Take appropriate measures to control risks at the workplace.

• Set-up and Implement a Risk Management program.

• Systemize the “authorized to work” to all operators for key equipment.

• Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the controls.

Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) Policy and Procedures

• Develop & standardize policy, safety operation procedures which developed to control risks at workplace.

Legal Compliance

• Maintain a list of OHSE legal documents and make it up to date.

• Specify actions to be taken to comply with the requirements and ensure legal compliance.

OHSE Training

• Set up Safety training program for all employees (internal & external)

• Conduct training on work safety to workers (orientation and periodical training)

• Job-specific training (overhead crane, air compressor…)

PPE Management

• Maintain a list of applicable PPE and their standards.

• Request and distribute PPE to employees.

OHSE Monitoring & Measurement

• Conduct Environmental & Workplace harmful parameters measurement.

• Run daily safety audits to identify new high & moderate risks to ensure daily mitigations and improvement in place.

OHSE Communications

• Organize Safety Team periodical meeting.

• Support to increase the quality of daily safety toolbox on the shop floor at shift beginning.

• Make monthly HSE report to Board of Managers.

• Prepare reports to government agencies as regulated (accident, safety, environment protection…).

• Update HSE information board.

Emergency Preparedness and Response

• Develop emergency response plans

• Manage first-aid kits

• Organize periodical emergency response practice with relevant departments

Process Waste Management

• Control and transfer process waste to the treatment facilities and remain records.

• Ensure hazardous waste is stored & disposed properly.

Control of Camera system

• Ensure Camera system is running properly.

• Data retrieval when requested.

Other works assigned by Direct Supervisor.

Relevant Experience & Qualifications

• Graduate from University in Safety field or equivalent.

• At least 04 years’ experience in HSE field.

• Prefer to have knowledge about the processes, products, equipment, facilities in pre-engineering buildings fabrication.

• Good in MS office

• Able to communicate English.

• Work well with local legal agencies.

• ISO 9001/14001/45001 deep knowledge and awareness preferred.

- Working Location: Office of Nova Buildings VN, BH2 IZ, Long Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province

- Working time: Monday – Saturday
