ABOUT THE JOB

I. General information:

- Job Title: HSE Engineer

- Report to: HSE Manager

- Subordinates: Technicians

- Working Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City)

II. Summary of the Role

- Be responsible for ensuring factory & employees fully comply to the Vietnam law as well as Trelleborg's requirements relevant to environment protection, occupational safety & hygiene (EHS)

- To ensure employees are healthy, safe in daily operation

III. Tasks & Responsibilities

* Safety management:

- Establish, issue documents/guidelines on safety

- Organize, manage program of assessment of Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) risks

- Machine safety management including installation, release/ commissioning, monitoring

- Safety on chemical; safety on material handling, storage & transport

- Investigate, report, follow actions of incident/ accident/ near miss

- Contractor management

- Manage Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) provision

- Manage the Occupational Safety and Health network

* Emergency response:

- Establish document/ record as requirements of fire-fighting and preventing and rescue

- Management/ monitor emergency response equipment

- Manage Emergency Response Team (ERT)

- Training, propagation on firefighting & preventing

- Hold drill of incident response & evacuation

* Environment (Env.) management:

- Manage, update license & documents relevant to env.

- Solid waste management: training, storage, transfer, data/ record, control supplier

- Cooperate on wastewater management/ monitoring

- Env. periodical monitoring

- Manage env. data, report

* Other tasks:

- Support activities of EHS training, occupational health

- Make related reports in function of tasks

- Attend proper projects

- Other tasks assigned by HSE Manager

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

I. Education and Experience:

- University/ College graduate in Labor safety major or Environment management or relevant fields

- Have professional knowledge about EHS

- Have good knowledge about legal requirements on EHS

- Chemical background is preferred

- At least 2 year experience in the relevant position in manufacturing site/ company

- Working experience for FDI or multinational company· Good at English in both written and verbal skills

- Communication, negotiation skills

- Oriented result for assigned tasks
