HSE Engineer
Job description
Job Purpose:
1. The primary role of the HSE Engineer is to implement and administer HSE programs, policies and procedures in line with corporate, compliance with province and legal requirements.
2. Managing all HSE aspects of manufacturing operations: Mainly focusing on Machine & Electric Safety.
3. Conduct the evaluation operations, equipment and practices for Safety – Healthy – Environment regulatory compliance and with company standards.
4. Build up & enhance safety culture in factory through programs and daily activities.
Job Responsibilities:
a. Manage safety in the plant: Machine safety, electric safety, project safety management, contractor safety …
b. Build up technical safety standards in factories: Main focus in mechanical and electrical
c. Provide HSE technical expertise on manufacturing systems, process design and operating procedures in all stages of operation (design, commissioning, trial and mass production).
d. Develop HSE programs & cooperate with other departments to accomplish safety tasks & develop safety guidelines at work.
e. Conduct regular HSE audits / reviews; recommend and oversee corrective /preventive measures to improve safety and ensure compliance with regulations.
f. Participate actively in engineering process/program, in development and implementation of process safety.
g. Implement risk identification and assessment throughout the factory frequently.
h. Periodic check and evaluate the safety of equipment.
i. Prepare for fire protection rehearsal with employees or local authorities, conduct fire fighting training and practice monthly.
j. Build up and develop safety network team.
k. Liaise with various government authorities on workplace health, safety, and environmental issues.
Job requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Safety; Mechanic or Electric).
- At least five-year experience in manufacturing industry and similar roles.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Training, coaching and reporting skills are required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work under high pressure.
