B – Job summary
The HR Officer in charge of Compensation and Benefits (C&B) is responsible for maintaining the high quality service of C & B operations to internal stakeholders; monitoring and enhancing the policies, processes and systems to ensure the effectiveness, compliance, fairness and cost efficiency.
C – Essential duties and responsibilities
I- Compensation & Benefits (C&B):
Payroll:
• Monitor and process monthly payroll for Expatriates to ensure the process is timely, accurate and compliant with legal regulations, school policy and HR procedures.
• Understand and provide explanation of the C&B policies, benefits schemes and processes; Responsible for responding to staff inquiries related to payroll matters.
• Control implementation of benefits for expatriates in line with the law, labor contracts, school policies and HR procedures.
• Monitor time management system/review timesheet for payroll, consult and facilitate the implementation of employees benefits of leave in line with the labor law and school policies.
• Coordinate with the Finance and Accounting Department to proceed salary/social insurance/tax/other C&B relevant payments and in reconciliation.
• Monitor HR payroll relevant systems and liaise with the systems provider when needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Administer employment information for payroll, including employment offers, labor contracts, profile and in HR systems.
Insurance:
• Fully in charge of compulsory insurance as Vietnam Insurance law and voluntary insurance as school policy.
• Responsible for providing consultancy on employee’s concern about the policies and practices of insurance schemes.
• In charge of medical insurance, life insurance and disability insurance for expatriates.
Personal income tax (PIT):
• Monitor to ensure proper implementation of personal income tax (PIT) in compliance with Vietnamese law for all employees, process relevant documentations for PIT monthly declaration and annual tax finalization; Solve related issues and participate in other tasks regarding PIT.
II- HR Policies, Procedures and Reports
• Execute the relevant C&B reports in line with the internal reports system and requirements from relevant authorities. Assist in HR C&B audit.
• Responsible for participating in salary surveys in kinds, provide benchmarking reports and propose necessary change of compensation package in line with market trend.
• Coordinate with the HR team to implement HR procedures in various HR functions: Employee profile management, Time management, Compensation and Benefits, On-boarding and Exit, Recruitment and Training, Compliance and Disciplinary.
III- Others
• Responsible for the tasks relevant to compensation and benefits as part of the employees’ on-boarding and exit procedures.
• Participate in HR projects from time to time which are relevant to the areas in charge.
• Facilitate in HR activities as requested.
• Performs other duties when assigned by the direct supervisor.

● Knowledge, Education and Experience:
▪ Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Human resources management, business administration.
▪ At least 4 to 5 years in HR C&B practices, compensation cycle management and labor market surveys.
▪ Good/updated knowledge in Labor law, Social Insurance and Personal Income Tax.
▪ Experience working with HR management/payroll systems is required.
● Skills:
▪ Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
▪ Interpersonal skill: Thoughtful handling and careful judgment regarding stakeholder relationships and communications; extremely comfortable working across diverse constituencies and communicating effectively at every level; friendly and customer-service oriented and respecting others’ point of view.
▪ Problem solving skill: solve problems and overcome challenges creatively and effectively; are persistent and always work to arrive at the best possible solution. ability to solve multiple tasks simultaneously
▪ Excellent in communication and presentation skills in English.
▪ Good presentation skills.
▪ Proficiency with Microsoft Office; especially expert user of MS Excel and numerically inclined.
● Abilities:
▪ Dependability/Reliability: Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with limited supervision. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
▪ Accuracy: To consistently deliver work of a high standard of quality, precision and according to standards, procedures, rules, regulations and expectations.
▪ Details oriented and well-organized
▪ Ability to prepare reports, proposals, policies and procedures.
▪ Ability to work under high pressure of timeline and multi-tasks.
▪ Readiness for over-time working as task demand.
