Due to business expansion, we are actively seeking a Finance Manager to be based in Danang, Vietnam to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role reports to the Finance Controller.

Role & Responsibilities

A Finance Manager role encompassing building-up & management of accounting control system to ensure the accounting of company in compliance with the accounting principles and other governing law in Vietnam and respond to issue financial & internal reports accurately, timely and sufficiently. The role requires managing the timely and accurate completion as well as review of accounts and associated outputs.

A key part of this role is to take full control of financial on boarding in Vietnam. This includes accounting, drafting of reports and review of the entries/accounts passed by Accountants.

• Accounting oversight:

o Oversee monthly accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

o Ensure the timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations and other critical accounting tasks

o Continuously review and enhance accounting and operational procedures, implementing appropriate internal controls

o Prepare and distribute intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and control over financial statements

o Compile and deliver financial reports in line with company policies and procedures

o Monitor the operational cashflow in VN entities

o Maintain a risk and control framework for internal audit purposes, addressing and resolving any issues identified during audits or internal reviews

o Hands-on involvement in tasks, when necessary, particularly due to the small team structure, ensuring all responsibilities are met

• Budget preparation & control:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor annual business budgets.

o To monitor actual spending or performance against budget, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and delivering detailed variance analysis.

o Assess and address any significant variances between Budget and Actual.

• Invoice review & payment approvals:

o Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable, including the review and approval of vendor invoices, payments, and contracts.

o Ensure timely and accurate processing of AP activities while maintaining strong control over payments.

• Local tax compliance:

o Oversee corporate tax compilation and submission, ensuring timely and accurate payments in compliance with local tax regulations.

o Collaborate with external tax consultants to resolve tax-related queries regarding business operations, contracts, or specific transactions.

• Audit management:

o Take ownership of the entire audit process, include manage and resolve audit issues from initial planning through to the signing of accounts.

o Coordinate between external auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams, ensuring that audits are completed within the required timelines.

• General:

o Assist in ERP implementation.

o Support regional finance team as required.

o Undertake ad-hoc assignments management may request from time to time.

Ideal candidate should possess;

• Essential requirements:

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field(s). CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus.

o 8+ years of experience in supervision role in handling finance & accounting activities.

o Good knowledge of IFRS/ local accounting requirements, tax rules and regulations.

• Preferable / Desired:

o Prior experience / exposure to the renewable energy sector.

o Audit Background from a Top 10 firm would be a significant advantage.

o Advanced standard MS Office suite, especially power points & Excel.

o Experience in accounting software such as MISA and Business Dynamic

o Right to work in Vietnam, Da Nang.

• Competencies & Technical expertise:

o Eligible / agreeable to be appointed as Chief Accountant of various group companies.

o Good verbal and written proficiency in English.

o Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to produce accurate financial reports and manage complex processes.

o Proven leadership skills, including managing small teams and leading virtual teams when necessary.

o Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

o Willingness to take on additional ad hoc tasks, including covering for absent team members or other urgent responsibilities.

o Take full ownership of issues until satisfactory resolution is achieved, demonstrating a results-oriented, hands-on approach
