About the Job

I. General information:

- Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Production Maintenance)

- Report to: Facility & Maintenance Manager

- Subordinates: Technicians

- Working Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City)

II. Summary of the role:

- The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and optimization of automated systems within the facility and on production machinery. This role involves ensuring the seamless integration and reliable operation of automated equipment, improving production efficiency, reducing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Automation Engineer will work closely with the maintenance, production, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and provide technical support and improving machines.

III. Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all automation control system for production machinery and facilities.

- Ensure the smooth operation of automated equipment, focusing on improving reliability, efficiency, and productivity.

- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, BMS, PMS and other control systems.

- Collaborate with the production team to understand automation needs and adjust systems to meet production requirements.

- Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs for automated systems to minimize downtime.

- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automated systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.

- Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to procure parts and technical support.

- Provide technical support and training to technicians and operators for automated systems, Facilities system Chiller, pumps, HVAC, Exhaust, production machines.

- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, control system and cabinet to ensure they comply with internal standards, safety standards.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize automation processes and reduce operational costs.

- Develop work instruction, checklist, for all electrical of machines, and facility related.

- Support commissioning and start-up activities for new or upgraded new production equipment and utility equipments.

- Other task will assign by manager.

About the Ideal Candidate

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing.

- Strong understanding of factory electrical systems, machinery, and equipment maintenance.

- Experience with PLC, HMI, BMS and related software.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

- Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.

- Strong communication, work effectively in a team environment.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
