I. Position Overview
The EHS Engineer in the HR Department is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, environmental protection, and compliance with health, safety, and fire safety regulations. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS procedures, identifying and managing risks, and training employees on EHS policies. The role also involves working closely with other departments to promote safety culture and ensuring continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Team Collaboration
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other departments, including HR, Production, and Maintenance, to ensure that safety and environmental standards are met in the workplace.
• Training and Awareness: Assist in designing and delivering EHS training programs for employees, including fire safety and environmental protection topics. Ensure the workforce is updated with the latest practices and legal requirements.
• Integration of EHS in HR Policies: Collaborate with HR to integrate EHS considerations into recruitment, onboarding, and employee welfare policies.
2. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Compliance and Risk Management
• EHS Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce workplace EHS procedures, including safety protocols for equipment, chemicals, waste management, and emergency response. Ensure all operations comply with local and international regulations.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential health, safety, and environmental hazards. Provide recommendations for improvements and corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
• Accident Prevention: Monitor, report, and implement strategies to prevent accidents, injuries, or environmental harm. Collaborate with HR and management to create a safe work environment for all employees.
3. Fire Safety and Emergency Response (PCCC)
• Fire Prevention and Safety Procedures: Work with HR and relevant departments to implement fire safety measures, including clear evacuation routes, emergency alarms, and fire extinguisher placement.
• Fire Risk Assessments: Conduct fire risk assessments across the facility, ensuring all fire hazards are identified and mitigated effectively.
• Fire Drills and Training: Coordinate and participate in fire drills and emergency response training for all employees, ensuring they are well-prepared in case of an emergency.
• PCCC Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and ensure the regular inspection and maintenance of fire safety equipment, including extinguishers, alarms, and sprinklers, ensuring they are operational at all times.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure fire safety measures comply with local fire codes, such as TCVN and NFPA, and ensure readiness for fire safety inspections.
4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
• EHS Metrics and Analysis: Track and analyze EHS-related data, such as accident statistics, safety audits, and environmental impact. Identify trends and report on areas requiring improvement.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual EHS performance reports to the HR Manager and senior management. This includes accident reports, safety audits, and compliance updates.
• Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits of EHS practices and ensure compliance with company standards. Provide corrective action plans as needed.
5. Additional Duties and Tasks
• Site Inspections: Perform regular site inspections to ensure adherence to EHS guidelines and legal requirements. Report on findings and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS practices and workplace safety culture.
• Emergency Preparedness: Support the development and maintenance of emergency response plans to ensure readiness for environmental or safety incidents.
• Support for New Developments: Provide EHS insights and recommendations for new projects or product developments to ensure they comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Yêu cầu công việc
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Fire Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments. Experience in fire safety (PCCC) is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of EHS laws and regulations (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, NFPA, TCVN, etc.).
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EHS management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver EHS training programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Personal Attributes:
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in improving EHS practices.
• Strong team player, capable of working collaboratively with HR and other departments.
