Depot Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

• Proactively plan, lead, supervise and control cost effective Operational activities at the State depot site to accomplish business objectives.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

• Responsible Lai Thieu depots.

• Manage and control the site operational function, ensuring a health and safe working environment and cost-effective operational activities

• Ensure documentation for all product movements is completed and accurate stock counts are performed to ensure accuracy and accountability of company assets

• Proactively manage actual costs of repairs ensuring the budgeted repair unit cost is achieved and report on variances against budget. The factors affecting this are Staff Productivity, Machine Utilisation and Material Usage and Costs. This includes completing the following tasks:

• Daily inputs, review and reconciliation against P&L of Master Operations Worksheet, and highlighting reasons for overspends to the Operations Manager

• Labour co-ordination

• Ensure the accurate completion of stocktake

• Report on all variances, relative to the repair unit costs

• Communicate as required accurate information in relation to site Operational matters

• Ensure product quality standards are aligned to Customer and Loscam Viet Nam Limitted own quality procedures

• Ensure Customer requirements for supply of product are fulfilled, and in line with Loscam Quality standards

• Actively manage teams and employees with a hands-on approach encouraging a team environment. Communicate ideas and train Direct Reports in a way that produces understanding and development

• Ensure continued compliancy of Loscam Viet Nam Limited Environmental, Health and Safety requirements at the site, ensuring that all employees, contractors and visitors adhere to safe work practices and procedures

• Manage downtime and work to ensure that all plant and equipment on site is operational and safe to use.

PRINCIPAL OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACTIVITIES:

• Ensure there is a safe working environment for employees, contract labour employees, contractors and visitors.

• Ensure all operations are carried out effectively and safely in accordance with Business OH&S policies and procedures.

• Be actively involved in ‘Return to Work’ and rehabilitation programs for injured employees and contract labour employees.

• Assess any safety and environmental issues / risks within the workplace and assist to ensure adequate controls are initiated.

• Be involved in accident / incident investigations.

• Be actively involved in Safety Improvement Teams processes.

• Conduct appropriate levels of OH&S training and instruction for all employees, contract labour employees and, contractors.

• Ensure all Business OH&S policies, processes and procedures are executed effectively inclusive of:

• Induction of all employees, contract labour employees and contractors

• Emergency Evacuation processes

• Contractor processes

• OH&S workplace and equipment inspections / checklists

• Danger Tag & Isolation, Safe Work Assessment, Hot Work and Working at Height processes

• Risk Assessment Procedures for plant and equipment, manual handling and workplace substances

• ‘Duty of Care’ for employees, contractors and visitors

• Accident / Incident Investigation processes

• Personal Protective processes

• Hearing Conservation processes

• Safe Operating Procedures

• Working at Heights processes

• Minimum 3 years experiences in operational or manufacturing environment

• Minimum 3 years experiences in management level

• Bachelor degree graduated in related field

• Possess a proven “hands on” leadership skill-set within an Operational/Manufacturing environment

• Be a committed, self motivated individual with a proven ability to manage functional responsibilities

• Possess an openness to ideas, able to demonstrate an ability to initiate change and influence others

• Have a degree of computer literacy

• Be a self starter, possessing a passion for excellence and a proven ability to initiate change and continuously seek improvement
