Data Engineer Consultant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of designing, building, and maintaining data systems. Your duties as a Data Engineer will include consulting on, developing, and combining raw information from different sources to create consistent, machine-readable formats. Another key aspect of your role will be developing and testing architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation of technical solutions for customer requirements in Data Platform and data analytics.

• Work alongside the project team to help create high quality design and sustainable client solutions and project documentation.

• Developing and maintaining data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

• Designing and optimizing data storage solutions, including data warehouses and data lakes.

• Ensuring data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and error handling.

• Collaborating with data analysts, data architects, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver relevant data sets.

• Automating and improving data processes and workflows for scalability and efficiency.

• Write and ensuring all design/technical documentation is kept up to date during the development process.

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience working as a Data Engineer.

• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques

• Hands-on experience with SQL database design

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus

• Proficiency in data modeling and database management.

• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, DAX or SQL).

• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and knowledge of big data technologies is a plus.

• Familiarity with data warehousing and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Oracle, AWS or Google Cloud).

• Strong knowledge on Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau,.. or any tool relevant.

• A good understanding of best practices including code management (i.e. source control), unit testing methodologies and build processes

• Experience in using Azure DevOps such as source control, gated check-ins and pipelines.

• Experience with integration (Odata, SOAP, REST, custom services)

• Accounting, Finance and Sale practice knowledge is helpful

• Good command of spoken and written English and Vietnamese.
