Customs Clearance Leader

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Customs Clearance Leader at G. Pacific Logistics Co., Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods through customs, comply with all regulatory requirements, and lead a team of customs clearance professionals. The Customs Clearance Leader will work closely with the operations, compliance, and transportation teams to ensure smooth logistics operations while minimizing delays and costs associated with customs procedures.

• Lead and manage a team of customs clearance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.

• Develop and implement best practices for customs clearance operations to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations, import/export laws, and international trade agreements.

• Work closely with government authorities, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to resolve issues and expedite the clearance process.

• Ensure timely clearance of shipments, reducing the risk of delays and extra costs.

• Provide regular updates to senior management regarding the status of customs clearances and potential delays or issues.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to customs compliance, tariffs, and duty classification.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline customs clearance workflows.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance or a similar role within the logistics or transportation industry and at least 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.

• In-depth understanding of import/export procedures, tariff codes, and customs documentation.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Competent English (speaking, writing & reading).

• Proficiency in customs software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other logistics-related tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

• Only Vietnamese.

Working hours: 8AM to 5PM, Monday to Fiday (at Office) + half of Saturday (WFH)

Working Location: 1st Floor HUD building, 159 Dien Bien Phu, Binh Thanh district, HCMC
