Job description
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the development of new business and sales in logistics services, including warehousing, local transportation, complex domestic logistics, and 3PL/4PL in Vietnam.
• Deliver impactful presentations to potential customers in Vietnam and initiate business trips to support sales activities.
• Focus on customer retention by promoting cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client accounts.
• Lead and manage a high-performing contract logistics sales team, ensuring the achievement of both short-term and long-term targets, with monthly and semi-annual revenue and profit performance reviews.
• Develop and implement a national supply chain strategy to position the company as a leading logistics provider in Vietnam.
• Monitor market trends in domestic logistics rates (warehousing, trucking), collaborating with procurement experts to secure competitive pricing and stable capacity.
• Achieve sales targets and report on performance in regular internal meetings (weekly, monthly, semi-annually).
• Oversee the management of the team’s Business Opportunity (Inventory) levels.
• Establish a regional Go-To-Market strategy and ensure alignment of sales activities with this strategy.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Job requirements
Education & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Preferably in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a global logistics company
• Proven experience in new business development within logistics.
Skills:
• Expertise in logistics business development and sales.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in closing large-scale local transportation and warehousing projects.
• Familiarity with logistics IT systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, etc.).
• Solid understanding of the logistics business, including air and ocean freight.
• Strong leadership skills for sales and operations.
• Well-established local transportation and warehousing network within Vietnam.
• Ability to work under pressure when required.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills in various situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced level).
• Proven ability in team building and fostering a high-performing team.
