Consultant/ Assistant, Finance Management Consulting
Job description
As part of the Finance Management, you will be providing specialized consulting services in financial management, financial modelling and data visualization, including solution design, development, and implementation, to clients across different industries, including:
• Understand our service offerings, including key solutions such as Finance Transformation, Financial planning and analysis improvement, Standard operating procedures etc. through active participation in projects and training sessions
• Work in a team to understand client’s business, operation and their performance management
• Participate in client interviews, examine figures to understand their current financial condition, management status, process operated to analyze, identify client needs and propose suitable services as well as solutions
• Prepare meeting minutes after each meeting to make sure all-important points/milestones discussed are recorded
• Participate in creating of proposals for potential clients related to our Financial management services (financial modeling and financial data and analytics)
• Conduct mandatory project tasks allocated, commit to the proposed time schedule, able to manage multiple client projects
• Under guidance of senior team members, research, brainstorm and work with team, and other line of service teams to deliver the best quality services to client, i.e. building models, design processes…
• Work with team to analyze collected information to identify improvement areas and propose the most suitable solutions in detail
• Support senior team member to produce deliverables and communicating to clients what the figures mean, conduct training for client if needed
• Act as a point of contact/assistant PMO between KPMG and client’s project teams to obtain required documents, coordinate and set up meeting schedules, and update project status on a periodic basis
• Other tasks assigned.
Job requirements
• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance/ Accounting/ Auditing/Quantitative(computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics) or related field.
• Experience in data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and validation.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or QlikView (value).
• Experience relating to Data & Analytics, Finance & Accounting system (such as Oracle, SAP…) is a plus.
• Experience and interest in RDBMS systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, NoSQL DBs) is preferable.
• Experience of working in a consulting environment is preferable.
• Strong analytical mindset and solid problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Distinctive communications skills and ability to communicate analytical and technical content in an easy-to-understand way.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities and meet milestones with time, cost, and quality constraints.
• Ability to work quickly whilst delivering pragmatic and high-quality outcomes.
• Broad knowledge of organization, process, system, and information management.
