Buyer/Procurement Staff

• Supplier Management: Issue inquiries to approved suppliers, follow up for offers, and assist in ensuring technical clearance in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Cost Analysis: Assist in conducting detailed cost calculations for fabrication, machining, and assembly. Support in determining estimated prices and negotiating commercial terms to achieve cost savings.

• Order Management: Help finalize and issue purchase orders to local suppliers, coordinating with international entities, and manage bilingual documentation for Vietnamese suppliers.

• Payment and Documentation: Issue payment and expense requests, follow up with finance for timely payments, and help maintain master data for supply chain activities.

• Supply Chain Coordination: Assist in ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods. Support in managing supply chain risks and balancing procurement interests with project priorities.

• Supplier Evaluation: Visit suppliers for evaluation processes and explore new suppliers to enhance product and system offerings.

• Data Management: Prepare and maintain databases for pricing and sourcing, and support data management on supplier portals. Provide data management support to SCQ to ensure accurate and efficient supply chain operations.

• Communication and Reporting: Prepare presentations, reports, and itineraries for international visitors. Ensure clear communication with project, engineering, and QA/QC departments.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE) is required.

• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a relevant role, with experience in a steel plant being an added advantage.

• Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost calculations.

• Familiarity with Vietnamese customs, Incoterms, and claim settlements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with e-auction tools and knowledge of steelmaking equipment.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
